Agreement

By accessing the Miss Orange Queen Beauty Pageant website, submitting an application, purchasing tickets, or participating in any event-related activities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services or participate in our events.

Eligibility & Application Requirements

All applicants must meet the eligibility criteria as specified on the Application page, including but not limited to age requirements, residency status, educational background, and physical fitness standards. Applicants must be female, between the ages of 18 and 28, and must be Nigerian citizens or residents of Nigeria.

Important: Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information in your application will result in immediate disqualification. All submitted documents, including photographs, identification, and certificates, must be authentic and verifiable. The organizing committee reserves the right to verify all information provided and may request additional documentation at any stage of the selection process.

Applicants must not have any criminal record, must be of good moral character, and must not be involved in any activities that could bring disrepute to the Miss Orange Queen brand or the pageant itself.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, videos, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, is the exclusive property of Miss Orange Queen Beauty Pageant or its content suppliers and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws.

By participating in the pageant, contestants grant Miss Orange Queen the perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works from any photographs, videos, or other media taken during the pageant, including but not limited to promotional materials, advertising, social media, and archival purposes.

Unauthorized Use: Any reproduction, distribution, modification, transmission, or use of any content from this website or pageant events without prior written consent from Miss Orange Queen is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

Ticketing, Payments & Refunds

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable except in the following circumstances:

  • Complete cancellation of the event by the organizers
  • Rescheduling of the event to a date that conflicts with the ticket holder's availability (refund request must be submitted within 7 days of rescheduling announcement)
  • Technical errors in the ticketing system resulting in duplicate charges

Ticket Transfers: Ticket transfer requests must be submitted in writing at least 7 days before the event date. Transfer fees may apply. Tickets are non-transferable within 48 hours of the event.

Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods including bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and mobile money. All payments must be made in Nigerian Naira (₦). Prices are subject to change without notice, but tickets already purchased will be honored at the original price.

Code of Conduct & Behavior

All participants, including contestants, judges, sponsors, staff, and attendees, are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, respect, and decorum throughout all pageant-related activities.

Contestant Responsibilities: Contestants must:

  • Attend all mandatory rehearsals, training sessions, and events as scheduled
  • Respect cultural values, traditions, and the dignity of all participants
  • Comply with all instructions from pageant organizers and staff
  • Maintain appropriate conduct on social media and in public appearances
  • Refrain from any behavior that could be considered discriminatory, offensive, or harmful

Consequences of Misconduct: Any violation of the code of conduct may result in warnings, fines, disqualification, or removal from the pageant, depending on the severity of the offense. The decision of the organizing committee in such matters is final.

Liability & Risk Acknowledgment

Personal Belongings: Miss Orange Queen Beauty Pageant, its organizers, sponsors, and venue partners are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings, including but not limited to clothing, jewelry, electronic devices, or other valuables brought to any pageant-related event.

Health & Safety: Participants acknowledge that they participate in pageant activities at their own risk. While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure safety, participants must inform organizers of any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect their participation. Medical emergencies will be handled in accordance with Nigerian laws and best medical practices.

Force Majeure: Miss Orange Queen is not liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or other force majeure events.

Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the laws of Ondo State. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or the pageant (a nation-wide event) shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ondo State, Nigeria.

In the event of any dispute, parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through mediation before pursuing legal action.
